The 'Woman Transcending' CD includes contributions from the talented Tony Visconti, Steve Howe, Michael Haslam, Warwick Embury, Mike Rutherford, B. A. Robertson, Mike Read, Rod Edwards, Neale Heywood, Kit Hain, Raphael Rudd, The London Symphony Orchestra, David Biglin, Dick Plant, Bob Brown and Ward Parks. Annie Haslam says she is proud of her band (Rave Tesar, Mark Lambert, Dave Keyes, Joe Goldberger, and Larry Fast) and their final recordings on the new CD. Haslam stated, "After much contemplation, I feel that this is a perfectly timed release that many fans will appreciate."
The CD includes several notable tracks, including a Bee Gees' song titled 'My Eternal Love'. A version of the song, 'My Eternal Love', was recorded and produced by Tony Visconti for the 'Blessing in Disguise' album, but ultimately was not included on the final album. "I'm pleased it was included now, as the song is so timely," states Haslam. Haslam adds that another two tracks recorded on a trip to Tennessee were in collaboration with the Carl Perkins' family. Written by Carl, Debbie, Stan and Greg, Haslam stated, "These songs are very special and show a different side of my style. Yes, I love to sing Country!"
Although nostalgia weaves its way through the album, there are many happy memories of fun and laughter with all who worked with Annie Haslam throughout the years. Haslam states it is with great joy that she releases this album and with the hope that the joy will transcend to those who listen and have taken the journey with her for many years and performances.
Annie has also recorded with Justin Hayward, Pete Townshend, Roy Wood, Phil Collins, John Wetton, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and other legendary artists.
Annie Haslam now resides in Pennsylvania, USA.
