We have a very creative community of video and music fans, and we're looking forward to seeing the ultimate Junior Boys user-generated music video.
Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) December 8, 2006
Junior Boys and Domino Records have partnered with imeem, inc., the leading next-generation online community for social media, to create an interactive contest. Fans and the video editing community can use live footage and music videos as well as license free clips to create new music videos for the Junior Boys new album, So This Is Goodbye. Domino Records and Junior Boys have created a personal meem, or group, at http://juniorboys.imeem.com to feature exclusive content, previews, and contests for their fans. Recent additions to the meem include a new Junior Boys podcast as well as information on SoThisIsGoodbye.com, an interactive Flash website.
Canadian duo Junior Boys are capping off an amazing 2006 that included the release of their 2nd album, So This Is Goodbye, on the surging independent label Domino Records. The album was released to critical acclaim in August including what Pitchfork Media calls one of the "best records you'll hear all year." The band also found worldwide success with sold out tours across North America and Europe as well as a Top 40 chart position in Sweden.
To kickstart the holiday season, and keep up the impressive momentum, Domino Records and imeem are presenting the Junior Boys "Want To See Your Creative Side" user submitted video contest.
•The contest invites imeem users and Junior Boys fans to create videos that are set to a song on the Junior Boys latest album, So This Is Goodbye.
•Domino Records and imeem will be filming the Junior Boys at the Domino Records Holiday Party at Studio B in Brooklyn on Thursday, December 7. The footage will contain full length songs, behind the scenes and crowd shots that fans can use to edit into the perfect Junior Boys video.
•Users can enter the contest, share ideas, videos, music and more on the Junior Boys community meem.
•$1000 in cash and prizes in part will be awarded to the winner and runner-ups.
