Barely able to hold his excitement, he runs to tell his Christmas ornament friends. Anticipation fills their hearts, and they joyfully being to prepare themselves, shaking off the dust and getting ready for the tree. They jump back in the box, and patiently wait until they feel the box moving; they are sure they're on their way downstairs.

Percy and his friends soon discover that an obnoxious gang of Halloween ornaments have hidden their box at the back of the attic, and it seems they are going to miss Christmas this year. Determined not to let anything spoil their visions of spreading holiday cheer, the friends bravely make their way out of the attic and down to the tree. They must work together if they are going to make the harrowing journey.

"An Ornaments Tale" follows a timid Percy as he slowly gains confidence with each turn. He eventually confronts Skitter with a kind gesture, and reverses the feud between the Christmas and Halloween ornaments.
