For pet enthusiasts, the launch of Balance IT® means more than a huge database of fun recipes to share with their pets; it means a truly safe alternative to commercial and packaged pet foods.

Balance IT® is a revolutionary way to feed fresh human food to pets. Using patent pending internet based software and all-in-one supplements, pet lovers can now instantly create fun recipes for their dog or cat with all the essential nutrients their pets need.

It is estimated that over 2.5 million dogs and cats receive the majority of their calories from home cooked foods deficient in key nutrients like calcium, iron and taurine which can lead to severe problems like fractured bones, anemia, and heart failure. Since the variety of home cooked foods that people feed to these pets is near limitless, early attempts to improve these pets' diets through publication of generic recipes and general guidelines just weren't working.

That's when Sean Delaney, DVM, MS, Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition (DACVN) working with the gifted software engineer, Aniel Santos, developed Balance IT® for board certified veterinary nutritionists and later for veterinarians to use to help improve the diets of their patients. Even with rapid adoption of this patent pending system, the need was proving too great and Balance IT® for pet lovers was born.

Balance IT® for pet lovers allows the user to choose from 72 different combinations of common human foods in an easy to use online three-step process. Selecting one of the combinations gives the user access to around 400 unique recipes in the Balance IT® "cookbook" developed by a team of board certified veterinary nutritionists including Sally Perea, DVM, MS, DACVN.

Fun recipes include "teriyaki beef," "cheese lasagna," "thanksgiving dinner," and hundreds more. Based on the pet's age, weight and species, the software uses very sophisticated algorithms running on a powerful server to formulate a recipe to meet the specific needs of each individual pet. Thus, Balance IT® can generate tens of thousands of unique recipes and help ensure that every pet receives the best custom diet possible.
