AIRAYA Receives Acceptance from the USDA Rural Utility Services Program (RUS) for 4.9 GHz Licensed Public Safety and 5 GHz Unlicensed Series of WirelessGRID Bridges

AIRAYA, developer of proven, fast and affordable outdoor wireless multipoint and backhaul WirelessGRID systems developed for high capacity Public Safety, Service Provider, Government, Education and Enterprise networks, announced USDA RD product acceptance for the AIRAYA WirelessGRID to be included as acceptable material for use in Telecommunications Systems under the RUS loan program.

The Rural Broadband Access Loan and Loan Guarantee Program is designed to provide loans for funding, on a technology neutral basis, the costs of construction, improvement and acquisition of facilities and equipment to provide broadband services to eligible rural communities. The Programs' goal is to ensure that rural consumers enjoy the same quality and range of telecommunications services that are available in urban and suburban communities.

AIRAYA WirelessGRIDTM backhaul and multipoint systems are widely deployed in applications that range from WISP backbone, Carrier backhaul, and Public Safety secure networks. The high speed, low latency and cost effectiveness of WirelessGRIDTM systems is opening new applications connecting VoIP networks and Wireless Security surveillance systems.
