Council Bluffs, IA (PRWEB) December 14, 2006 -- Crescent Systems (http://www.paydq.com), headquartered in Council Bluffs, Iowa has received Payment Card Industry (PCI) certification as a Level 1 Service Provider, the highest security standard for high volume credit card processors.

Crescent Systems provides electronic payment services to a wide variety of clients whose customers make regular monthly payments including cable TV, telephone, other utility companies, and consumer charge account payments. "While we have never had a security breach in our more than 10 year history", according to company President Kathy Norgaard, "we want our clients and their customers to be confident that they have strong protection against credit card fraud and identity theft".

Certification requirements include an annual audit and quarterly electronic penetration tests by certified examiners. Crescent's certification audit was conducted by Solutionary (http://www.solutionary.com) -- an Omaha managed enterprise security services firm founded by Steve and Sheri Idelman that has become a international leader in performing PCI certification audits.
