With all the different stresses and demands in our lives, focusing gets more difficult. The Zen Stick relaxation tool hones that skill so you can snap to the task at hand easily and completely
Sperry, OK (PRWEB) December 18, 2006
Zen Sticks™, a focusing and relaxation tool designed to build concentration, confidence, and inner peace, has been created by Laurie "Tiger" Desjardins, a former jeweler and founder of My Brothers' Keeper Animal Sanctuary.
"With all the different stresses and demands in our lives, focusing gets more difficult. The Zen Stick relaxation tool hones that skill so you can snap to the task at hand easily and completely," said Desjardins.
The Zen Sticks relaxation tools are made from exotic hardwoods that have been placed on a lathe and hand-tooled to a one inch diameter. Each Zen Stick is approximately 11 inches long and has been hand sanded several times, beginning with sandpaper about as rough as a nail file and gradually increased to a jeweler's sandpaper that is softer than burlap. After sanding, each Zen Stick relaxation tool is buffed using a jeweler's buffing wheel to a soft, warm finish that is irresistible to the touch, and just a dab of jeweler's rouge is rubbed in to make the Zen Stick's wood grain iridescent in the sunlight.
Tossing and catching a Zen Stick, with closed or open eyes, is quick way to build:
- Eye/Hand coordination
- Confidence as your skill improves
- Inner peace from the repetitive action of tossing and catching the relaxation tool
Many find simply touching the smooth, beautiful wood relaxing. Juliana Reimer, an Attorney at Law at Shaddix & Reimer Law Center in Owasso, OK said, "The Zen Stick provides such a simple and relaxing exercise. Forget about yoga--all I need is the Zen Stick."
