The 'Purr-fect' Way to Bring Love and Meaning Back into Christmas

New picture book for children ages 2 to 10 woven around the story of the birth of Christ. Mother cat finds her lost kitten in the same manger the Christ Child will use for His bed. The night's events leave a lasting effect on all the animals, especially the cats.

Maryville, MO (PRWEB) December 15, 2006 -- Do you feel that in today's secular world, your children are missing the significance of Christmas? Do they understand the point of the gifts you are giving them? Not sure how to resolve this problem? With the fast paced world we live in the true message of Christmas gets misplaced or even lost.

In the new children's book, The Littlest Christmas Kitten, author Lee Jackson portrays the Nativity scene from the animals' point of view. The book gives children, ages 2 to 10, an entertaining, yet educational message about the true meaning of Christmas.

As a Mother cat worries about her little lost kitten, a man and woman arrive in the simple setting of a stable. Before the night is over there is the crying of a little baby and angels singing his praises. The night's events leave a lasting impression on all the animals, especially the cats. The story of what happens to the little lost kitten is handed down through all generations of the cat kingdom.

Throughout the story are a number of themes:

·   Love of a mother for her children.
·    Importance of family unity.
     Perseverance and hope.
·   Stories handed down form a link to the past.

Children gain a greater understanding of the real meaning of Christmas when they hear and read about the events of the time. The animals in the story help children relate better to what may have happened on that night long, long ago.

The book is available at selected bookstores or directly from the publisher at Snaptail Press, Division of Images Unlimited Publishing, P.O. Box 305, Maryville, MO 64468 ($16.00 plus shipping $4.00, or $6.00 Priority Mailing) 660-582-4605 800-366-1695
