JumpBox Joins XenSource Technology Partner Program

JumpBox, a new virtual appliance development service, announced today that it has joined the XenSource Technology Partner Program. XenSource is the leader in infrastructure virtualization solutions based on the open source Xen™ hypervisor.

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) December 16, 2006 -- JumpBox, a new virtual appliance development service, announced today that it has joined the XenSource Technology Partner Program. XenSource is the leader in infrastructure virtualization solutions based on the open source Xen™ hypervisor. XenSource Technology Partners (XTPs) are comprised of independent software vendors (ISVs) and independent hardware vendors (IHVs) that complement XenSource technology to offer complete solutions to their customers.

This program offers JumpBox access to XenSource's betas and pre-release products, giving JumpBox an advantage on ensuring compatibility of its appliances with XenSource's product family.

"We are thrilled to be a XenSource partner," says Sean Tierney, CEO of JumpBox. "They provide a rock-solid virtualization environment into which our JumpBox appliances can be delivered. The relationship with XenSource paves the way for joint marketing efforts and tighter technical integration that build value for both companies."

The partnership will enable JumpBox to develop, deliver and market its solutions to meet the requirements of the growing XenSource customer base and also increase awareness of the virtualization support provided by its products through the XenSource network.

"The open source foundation of the XenSource family of products enables third-parties to innovate around their product line," says Kimbro Staken, CTO of JumpBox. "This is an important advantage going forward."

The XenSource Technology Partner Program allows participants to significantly enhance the solutions they deliver by adding next generation virtualization that enables optimal levels of flexibility and operating efficiency, resulting in dramatically lowered costs and increased ROI for their customers.

"We are happy that JumpBox has chosen to make their virtual appliances compatible with our platform," says Benn Schreiber, director of business development at XenSource. "Simplifying the usability of virtual appliances and creating a reliable means for converting existing applications is what it's all about. The JumpBox platform does just that."
