Southeast Asian online game distributor and digital media provider Digital Media Exchange (DME) releases mobiuskids.net, an online game service targeted to the pre-teen market in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore.

Digital Media Exchange, Inc. (DME), an online game distributor and digital entertainment provider based in the Philippines, has announced the release of the first online game service for pre-teens in three Southeast Asian countries.

DME released its family-oriented website mobiuskids (http://www.mobiuskids.net) in the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia on December 15.

Addressing the lack of family-oriented web services for the pre-teen market in Southeast Asia, mobiuskids.net offers educational games and activities centered on child learning and family interaction.

"This is not just a site for gaming, but also an edutainment site with games and activities that promote responsibility and other crucial skills for kids," said mobiuskids brand manager Thea Ragas.

mobiuskids introduces two popular casual online games on its launch -- Disney's award-winning massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) Toontown Online and virtual pet game GoPets.

Among the site's services are a child-centered social networking feature similar to Friendster.com, as well as arcade game downloads. A piggybank, task scheduler and goal tracker are also available.

Accessing the site itself is free, however, playing most of the games on mobiuskids.net requires a subscription fee, which can be paid for through DME's own payment and reloading facility, mobiusonline (http://www.mobiusonline.net), Ragas said. Each country will also have different subscription schemes, she added.
