Ottawa Hotels Offer Support to Ottawa Food Bank Crisis

Albert at Bay Suite Hotel & Best Western Victoria Park Suites respond to the Ottawa Food Bank Crisis with the "Really, Really Big Hearts" Food Drive.

Ottawa, ON (PRWEB) December 17, 2006 -- The Albert at Bay Suites and Best Western Victoria Park Suites Ottawa hotels are launching a food drive to help ease the crisis at the Ottawa Food Bank.

The public is being asked to show their "Really, Really Big Hearts" by dropping off their donations of non perishable goods at the front desk of either the Albert at Bay Suite Hotel or Best Western Victoria Park Suites hotel before noon on December 22. Items most needed at this time include Baby supplies such as wipes, baby powder, baby oil etc. Other items range from Children's lunch items to household products.

To thank the donors, people who drop off a donation at the hotels can enter their name in a draw to win a weekend Ottawa getaway package. For each item donated they will receive one ballot for the draw. The more they give, the more chances they have to win but the biggest winner of all will be the Ottawa Food Bank.

"There are so many of our fellow citizens in need, people who may be our neighbor, co-worker, or a classmate of your kids and we may not even be aware", says John Cosentino, Director of Operations for both hotels. "We cannot sit by and watch as our fellow citizens go without the basic necessities of life. The Ottawa Food Bank is a tremendous organization serving a very important role in our community and we are proud to support them."

Items may be dropped off daily between 6am - 11 pm until December 22 at the following locations:
