Baywood Clinic Announces New Rosacea Educational Campaign on the Web

Toronto medical laser clinic, the Baywood Clinic, initiates web campaign on Rosacea with the assistance of Toronto Web Services.

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) December 18, 2006 -- One of Toronto's busiest medical laser clinics, the Baywood Clinic, has expanded their educational web campaign to include pages dedicated to the common skin disease, Rosacea. Their presence on the web will be promoted by Toronto Web Services.

Toronto Web Services is ideally positioned to promote the Baywood Clinic's Laser Rosacea program to an even larger audience than ever. "Patients need to be able to access reliable information about treatments for conditions like Rosacea, or facial redness and veins," states president of Toronto Web Services, Ted Thrasher. "And have confidence that it comes from qualified practitioners, which is what Toronto Web Services provides."

Patients need to be able to access reliable information about treatments for conditions like Rosacea, or facial redness and veins
Rosacea is one of the commonest skin conditions, affecting up to 10% of the population. An increase in facial redness or flushing, and the development of small facial blood vessels are the most typical symptoms. Many factors act as triggers, such as sun, heat, and alcohol. While medications can provide some improvement, the advent of pulsed-dye laser technology over the last ten years has allowed for remarkable improvements to be achieved with no downtime. The lasers act by coagulating the small facial vessels, thus clearing the skin of its flushing and redness.

Many spas and non-medical "clinics" claim to offer treatment, using non-laser technology of often unproven value. Patients should be careful; a licensed physician should conduct the examination and consultation, and preferably perform the treatments.

The Baywood Clinic hopes that its increased web presence will inform patients about this treatment possibility, and to encourage them to ask their family doctors for referral to credible medical laser centers.

Located in central Toronto at 1033 Bay Street suite 303, the Baywood Clinic is one of Toronto's busiest full service medical laser, vein, and cosmetic clinics. Staffed by Board Certified Laser Physicians, who perform over 5000 procedures each year, it specializes in the treatment of conditions like Rosacea, acne, hair removal, tattoo removal, varicose and spider leg veins, and popular cosmetic treatments like Botox and skin rejuvenation.
