New CNN International Studio Debuts -- BREW|SDC Delivers Strategic Broadcast Design On-Air

Designer of CNN Studios-Anderson Cooper 360°, CNNfn, Showbiz Tonight and CNN Washington Bureau-Brock Danner leads broadcast design at BREW/SDC.

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 20, 2006 -- www.brewsdc.com -- News junkies and fervent fans of CNN welcome the dynamic new on-air look of CNN International. The recent debut of CNN's flagship International studio comes as other highly anticipated cable news channels launch -- including Al Jazeera -- and as news networks trend toward more compelling on-air presence to bolster viewership.

"CNN International had very specific communication objectives in mind for the redesign of their brand," said Brock Danner, BREW|SDC Partner and Broadcast Designer. "In my previous design work with CNN, the emphasis was creating immersive cinematic environments. With the International set and CNN's new design focus on presentation, we conceived and delivered an iconic look that is easily recognizable by the 'Global Citizen' watching in mere 15 minute segments."

The new CNN International studio design presents a sweeping media surround -- comprised of an immense projection screen and myriad media devices -- immersing viewers in all aspects of the news story and simulating a virtual world forum for twenty-first century news delivery. Also, the environment fully complements CNN's new graphics identity package, offering viewers an intuitive relationship to the network with subtle connectivity through colors, stylization and aesthetics. CNN International now has a broadcast set to reflect its expansive global news network and enhance its presentation of complex multi-faceted news stories from around the world.

CNN International is one of a number of studios Danner has designed for CNN, earning accolades for many of the news giant's most mimicked designs. Danner led the design of CNN's groundbreaking loft-like studio for Anderson Cooper 360°, CNNfn's award-winning headquarter studio in Time Warner, as well as sets for Dolans Unscripted, CNN Washington Bureau, CNN Showbiz Tonight and CNN's most recent New York Bureau redesign -- completed before leaving Production Design Group, a Jack Morton Company, to join BREW|SDC.
