Quixtar to Donate $250,000 in Gifts to Today Show Toy Drive

As part of its One by One Campaign for Children, Quixtar Inc. is donating product to NBC's Today Show Toy Drive via a direct selling industry effort to provide holiday gifts for thousands of children nationwide. Quixtar's gift of NAO never accept ordinary™ cosmetics is aimed at teen girls, one of the groups often forgotten during holiday giving drives.

Ada, Mich. (PRWEB) December 19, 2006 -- As part of its One by One Campaign for Children, Quixtar Inc. is donating $250,000 in product to NBC's Today Show Toy Drive via a direct selling industry effort to provide holiday gifts for thousands of children nationwide. Quixtar's gift of NAO never accept ordinary™ cosmetics is aimed at teen girls, one of the groups often forgotten during holiday giving drives. Quixtar's donation is being shipped to 18 non-profit organizations across the country for delivery to disadvantaged children and families, providing in many cases the only gifts some children and teens may receive this holiday season.

This donation is a public expression of Quixtar's efforts to improve the well being of children around the world through its One by One campaign. It also demonstrates Quixtar's support of the United States Direct Selling Association, whose member companies combined donation totals nearly $8 million in products and cash to the Today Show toy drive this year.

We're proud to again support the Today Show toy drive
"We're proud to again support the Today Show toy drive," said Jim Payne, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Quixtar. "One by One calls on Quixtar, our employees and Independent Business Owners to join together to improve the lives of children, here in the United States and around the world. We hope our gift will brighten the holidays for these kids and their families."

Jim Payne will appear briefly on the Today Show next Friday, December 22, at either 8:30 or 9 a.m.

In addition to supporting the Today Show toy drive, Quixtar serves as a National Sponsor of Easter Seals and the U.S. Dream Academy through Quixtar's One by One Campaign for Children. Quixtar and its sister company Amway Corp. have given more than $37 million and more than 545,000 volunteer hours to programs worldwide since the beginning of One by One in 2003.
