Comedy Defensive Driving's Online Course Hands Marketing to LevelTen

This unique online defensive driving course video is the first 100 percent no reading 2D, 3D, interactive, stop motion, state-approved ticket dismissal program in Texas for the web. This release gives a brief history on CDDS as well as touches on what LevelTen plans to do to help Comedy Defensive Driving School® drive its way to a better online ROI.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 21, 2006 -- Comedy Defensive Driving School® released an online, state-approved, Texas defensive driving course this year, and LevelTen's marketing department plans to steer it to success as its new online marketing and online business consulting agency.

Each year at least 16 million traffic and speeding violations are issued in Texas, most of which are eligible for dismissal through participation in a driver's safety course. Texas state law allows one traffic ticket dismissal per year by taking a driving safety class, as well as the added benefit of a discount on auto issuance for non-offenders. Each state has different laws and guidelines concerning the length of class and material taught. The Texas Education Agency requires a six hour approved material course that meets certain core criteria and curriculum standards.

Before Comedy Defensive Driving School®, Richard Schiller, founder and owner and former race car driver, had a personal experience using a heavy foot and a pending speeding ticket which required him to take a defensive driving course for the first time. After sitting through what was then an eight hour grueling course, he was inspired to make these courses fun and entertaining.

Schiller coined and trademarked the term Comedy Defensive Driving School® back in 1989 when he invented the concept of stand up comedians teaching state-regulated defensive driving courses during their off time. These courses are taken to dismiss traffic tickets, as well as the added benefit of a discount on auto issuance.

Back in 1999, before high speed Internet was mainstream, Comedy's parent company, International Driver Training, Inc., had the first online Texas state-approved defensive driving program. At that time, before the online market was huge, they felt they would have more success in a traditional setting and focused their efforts back on instructor-led classes. In 2005 they felt it was time to leverage that success and started preparing to bring it to the online world again in a most unique way.

The vision was to create the most interactive, 2D & 3D, star-studded, anti-boring, first ever 100 percent no reading defensive driving online course available for Texans and eventually all other states. The six hour online defensive driving course went live in July 2006.

The online defensive driving course consists of 3D & 2D characters, 3D driving scenes, live-action stage comedy with professional voice over talent from celebrity parody characters such as: Barry Goosey (Gary Busey), Tom Brokejaw (Tom Brokaw ), as well as local and national comedic talent -- Chinaman, Brandon Enrique, Kelly Bob and Karen Crowell. The online defensive driving course also consists of stop-action instructive vignettes with plastic action figures demonstrating, in the most entertaining way possible, how to drive and how not to drive.

"Instead of being bored to tears, like I was taking other online defensive driving courses, this course had me laughing so hard I was crying. It was quite entertaining to say the least," said Neil Lemons, Online Marketing Specialist for LevelTen Design.

According to the Texas Education Agency (TEA), there are 20 other purely dot com Texas defensive driving courses, not including rentable take home videos, DVDs or live instructor-led, with approved curriculum and who have issued official driver's safety completion certificates this year. All of these companies are vying for top placement in the search engines, but there can only be a handful of dot coms that benefit from top five search engine listings.

LevelTen plans on taking the current site and propelling it to its fullest online business potential through an agile and unique program called Synergy Online Marketing. This program includes ongoing search engine optimization (SEO), linking campaigns, pay-per-click management and optimization, as well as viral, "buzz," marketing techniques.
