Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 22, 2006
On December 30th at 12:00 p.m., children around the world are invited to celebrate, share and imagine the possibility of peace on our planet by participating in the first "Children of the World Walk for Peace" event.
In Los Angeles, the event will take place at Lafayette Park, located at 625 South Lafayette Park Place, from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Parents and kids in the Los Angeles area can get more information about the day's activities, locate or create an event in their community and write a few words about their wish for world peace at http://www.childrenwalkforpeace.com.
"Children of the World Walk for Peace" is the brainchild of LeeAnn Robinson, who will be in attendance at the Los Angeles event. Robinson's vision is to devote the day to the children and encourage them to use their voices to speak out. "I believe it is time for us to listen to the children of the world and let them lead the way. We are not seeking any donations. We have no political or religious agenda. We simply want the children of the world to use their small but wise voices to speak up for peace," says Robinson.
"Children of the World Walk for Peace" is a one-day event committed to providing the children of the world with the means to express their vision for peace. The December 30th happening kicks off a series of international peace walks throughout 2007 that will be held by organizations from around the globe.
