Everest Poker gathers players from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway for a first-of-its-kind poker tournament in Barcelona

Everest Poker http://www.everestpoker.com has announced a tournament exclusively open to players from the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

"This event takes a historic rivalry between 3 countries that are often cited as having the best poker players in the world, and creates a unique tournament structure to determine who is the "best of the best" from these countries - both as a team and individually," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker Property Manager. "This Nordic Summit is sure to bring out some great players in an first-of-its-kind poker event."

Starting on January 2, Everest Poker is hosting a series of five online $22+2 finale tournaments for players living in the three participating countries. These tournaments, along with seats being given through special promotions, place ten Swedes, ten Danes, and ten Norwegians at a final tournament to be held in Barcelona, Spain on 24 February - 25 February, 2007. Points are given for the top 50 places in each of the finale tournaments and the top eight point earners from each country win a seat at the final event.

"We're very excited about the opportunity this gives our Scandinavian players," May added. "This is just the sort of event that sets us apart from other poker rooms. Not only are we paying for travel expenses for the winners - we're treating them to drinks and tickets to an FC Barcelona football match."

For more details about this event, check the tournament schedule available through the Everest Poker software. This software is free and can be downloaded from http://www.everestpoker.com/dload . Everest Poker offers tournaments and individual play for poker players at all levels of experience.
