(PRWEB) December 22, 2006 -- Due to an overwhelming response of entrants, Px3 has extended the entry deadline to January 31st, 2007.
Px3 is a unique international competition that strives to promote the appreciation of photography, to discover emerging talent, and introduce photographers from around the world to the artistic community of Paris. The competition is open to all professional, non-professional, and student photographers.
EXHIBITION IN PARIS
Winning photographs from PX3, "Prix de la Photographie Paris," are professionally printed with the help of Dupon Labs, and exhibited at the prestigious 13Sévigné Gallery located in the heart of Paris. The exhibition will be attended by leading photography editors, publishers, curators, gallery owners, agents, consultants, creative directors, art buyers and art directors from around the world, and will be held in the first two weeks in July, 2007.
ANNUAL BOOK
Winning photographs are published in the high-quality PX3 Book, distributed to galleries, agencies, publishers and bookstores worldwide.
CASH PRIZE
Non-professional photographers compete for the Best New Talent Award, which includes a cash prize of 2,000 Euros. Professional photographers compete for the Grand Prize, which attracts major publicity, international acclaim, and the spotlight at all PX3-related events.
PRESTIGIOUS JURY MEMBERS
PX3 is juried by top international decision-makers in the photography industry. Recently-added jury members include the Curator of Photography from the Washington D.C. Library of Congress, the Director of Photography at Sports Illustrated Magazine, and Art Directors and Creative Directors from the best advertising agencies around the world.
