Jim Landerkin, the federal program manager for Capella University (, an accredited* online university, has been named the vice president and president elect for NAIMES, the National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services.

Landerkin has been with Capella since 2002, establishing the university as a military-friendly school with relevant and flexible degree programs. These 22 schools account for the majority of the Tuition Assistance (TA) dollars that are paid annually by the Department of Defense. NAIMES also provides a forum for higher education institutions to discuss ways in which the Armed Forces Voluntary Education Program (VolEd) can be enhanced.
