HomeTeam , the nationally syndicated television program that gives unsuspecting individuals or families the opportunity to own their very first home, ends 2006 with significant accomplishments including the successful launch of a second season, record ratings in New York City, and extensive local press coverage in cities where HomeTeam is providing families an opportunity to own their first homes.
In April 2006, the HomeTeam weekly one-hour "cause" television program announced that it was returning for its second season after a successful first season that cleared more than 90 percent of the country's top television stations including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, Superstation WGN cable and independent stations.
To-date, the second season of HomeTeam has helped families in Denver, Lincoln, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC and New Jersey get into their first homes. All episodes have received outstanding community support including local press coverage in every market. The show will continue to tour the country throughout 2007 to complete a two-season total of 52 episodes.
Recently, the New Jersey episode #207 received a 3.1 Nielsen Station Index (NSI) Local People Meter (LPM) household rating with a 6 share on WABC in New York. The broadcast on November 25th was the highest household rating and share HomeTeam has scored and it tied for second in the 7-8 p.m. time slot.
National sponsors have been a part of each HomeTeam episode, with companies such as American Standard, Levitz Furniture, Whirlpool, Waste Management, Kilz Paints and Red Bull donating products and services to make the experience more rewarding for the recipients.
Additionally, local and regional sponsors have also contributed to each episode of HomeTeam. Looking to secure a third season, HomeTeam will be in Las Vegas exhibiting at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) annual conference in January 2007.
Corporately, HomeTeam.com, Inc., as part of its business model, has launched a comprehensive online community offering educational products and services including a number of trusted partnerships with highly reputable service providers to provide HomeTeam community members with additional resources to realize the American dream of first-time home ownership.
The HomeTeam one-hour "Cause" television show has reached 94% U.S. coverage weekly on ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, Superstation WGN cable and independent stations around the country. For each show, unsuspecting individuals or families receive a down payment, the first year's mortgage payments, closing costs, costs of house renovation and furnishings for their first home. Friends and family are enlisted over a four-day period to add the final touches that will make the house a home.
