Will Tube for Food-Theme for Rehab

New Vertical Descent Tubing Park Grand Opening Celebration to benefit Rehab's New Beginnings.

Mansfield, OH (PRWEB) December 23, 2006 -- Will Tube for Food will be the theme of the Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, December 30, 2006. Along with a two-hour tubing ticket, an additional hour of tubing will be free to each individual who donates at least one non-perishable food item," said Nate Wolleson, marketing manager of Snow Trails Winter Resort.

"Our goal is to celebrate our family fun atmosphere with the addition of the new Vertical Descent Tubing Park, as well as benefit The Rehab Center and their work in the community," Wolleson described. Festivities for the day begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00am with Mansfield's Mayor Lydia Reid, officially opening the Park for the 2006-07 season.

The celebration will benefit The Rehab Center of North Central Ohio's New Beginnings Residential Treatment Program. Clients of the Program receive group and individual counseling, vocational rehabilitation services, family reintegration services, and are supported in developing an investment in a twelve-step recovery program. The food donations will help to serve the programs half-way house. Learn more at www.therehabcenter.org

It's the first season for the new Half-Million dollar Vertical Descent Tubing Park. "With sixty-five new seasonal jobs added to north-central Ohio, six new snowguns, twenty new lights for night-tubing, and a 500 foot long conveyor lift, the sport promises to be a fun winter activity for all, with "No Experience Necessary," Scott Crislip, business manager of Snow Trails, stated.

At noon free hot dogs and Pepsi products will be served to tubing park guests. A beverage trailer will be available for adults, located close to the Parks own ticketing hut. Prizes and giveaways will be part of the celebration, not to mention a hilarious day of tubing.

Snow Trails Winter Resort has been serving Ohio since 1961. There are six lifts, two conveyor carpets, serving 13 runs, including three terrain parks and the Snowtubing Park, on 60 acres. The Resort boasts being "Ohio's first and finest" since it has a reputation of many Midwest firsts, including being Ohio's first ski area and the first to open this season on December 8th. The ski season runs through March, weather permitting. The resort is located off Interstate 71 south of Mansfield, OH on Possum Run road.
