Zunerama.com, a website devoted to Microsoft Zune, has emerged as a leading online resource for the new digital media player. Microsoft launched Zune on November 14.
With resources ranging from answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs), accessory reviews, player tips and tutorials, to advanced tricks and hacks, Zunerama provides a hub for Zune owners and others interested in the new Zune player and music service.
"Our objective is to be a one-stop for all things Zune," says Harvey Chute, who launched the site in July. "We welcome all Zune enthusiasts - from new Zune owners to others who may have had their Zune players for a while and are looking to make the most out of it."
The site features include: a searchable Zune FAQ; a daily Zune blog; an archive of over 150 original Zune stories with news and analysis; reviews of Zune players and accessories; Zune documentation library; Zune specification sheets; comparisons to iPod/iTunes; buyer's guides; online store; and Zune user forums.
The site appears to have found a welcome audience. Zunerama has attracted over 500,000 page views since its launch in July, and the site draws over 1,500 unique visitors daily.
Many of those visitors participate in Zunerama's user forum, where Zune enthusiasts gather to share reviews, facts, tips, opinions, and other information. "We celebrated our 1,000th member this month," Chute said. "We have many active members who go out of their way to help other Zuners, by answering questions and sharing their Zune experiences. It's great to see a community develop so quickly around the Zune player, six weeks after its launch."
One popular feature of Zunerama is the giveaway board, where the site has ongoing giveaways of over seventy Zune players, cases, armbands, skins, software, and other Zune accessories. "We're very pleased with our partnerships with Zune accessory makers, including DecalGirl, DLO, Incipio, M2Solutions, Speck, and Vaja," Chute said. Zunerama offers more free Zune giveaways than any other website.
The site publishes reviews of Zune accessories, and has launched a "Recommended by Zunerama" program to guide Zune enthusiasts on products that have passed Zunerama's accessory reviews.
Microsoft Zune is a wireless digital media player, with WiFi, a 30-gigabyte hard drive, 3-inch screen, and built-in FM receiver. Through Zune Marketplace, Zune owners can download music either by purchasing individual songs or through a Zune Pass subscription service.
Established in July 2006, Zunerama is an online resource center for Zune. The site serves as a hub for the Zune user community, and provides comprehensive resources, including Zune user forums, a blog with Zune news and commentary, FAQ, archived original Zune stories, reviews of Zune players and accessories, documentation library, specification sheets, buyer's guides, and online store.
