Blues Musicians Band Together to Benefit Young Girl Injured by Hit and Run Driver
Two big blues benefits are scheduled to raise money to off-set medical expenses for 15 year old honor student, Audrey Marquez of Avondale, Arizona who was nearly killed when struck by a hit and run driver while walking to school November 30, 2006.
PHOENIX,AZ (PRWEB) December 25, 2006 -- HoneyBoy Dupree & the Smoke House Players, Paris James, Sistah Blue, Cold Shott & the Hurricane Horns and Jack Straw are among the names on the bill appearing Sunday, January 7th at the Rhythm Room, 1201 Indian School Rd. in Phoenix at 7PM and Sunday, February 18th at Alice Cooper's Town, 101 E. Jackson St. in Phoenix, starting at 2PM to benefit Audrey Marquez.
A $5 minimum donation will be collected at the door for admission to the "live blues" benefit while larger donations are encouraged and greatly appreciated. Monies collected will go to off-set medical expenses accrued, and for the purchase of a lap top computer so Audrey may keep up with her school work and stay in touch with family and friends through her recovery.
The Audrey Marquez benefits are being organized and hosted by Audrey's uncle Sal Caffarello, aka HoneyBoy Dupree, and the Phoenix Blues Society.
