People Can Still Make A Charitable Donation In 2006, See How Specific Donation Helped Specific People

A non-profit organization has created a system where donors are able to decide exactly how their contributions are used and are able to track those contributions from time of donation to actual usage. Each donor receives an information notice detailing non-confidential information about the actual recipient of each of their charitable gifts.

Valley Forge, PA (PRWEB) December 26, 2006 -- With the end of the year fast approaching, the Respond With Love® Program is helping those truly in need by allowing donors to see exactly how and where their donations are being used.

This program of America Responds With Love®, a national non-profit organization, can be viewed at http://www.respondwithlove.org.

Contributions can still be made to America Responds With Love, deductible to the fullest extent during 2006 as allowed by law.

"You can view the charitable needs in a specific region and for a specific issue from the privacy of your home or office," explains Mr. Richard McDonough, President and Chief Executive Officer of America Responds With Love. "You can then make a contribution by credit card, by check, or by money order."

Americans are able to use this website to see what products and services are needed by people truly in need throughout the United States. Using the Respond With Love Program, an individual donor can choose how their specific donation is used - for which specific products and services, for which specific issues, and in which specific regions. America Responds With Love then uses the donations for the specific products and services and provides them to people truly in need, either directly or through local organizations.

Donors also have the option to donate money, without designating specific products and services, for use by America Responds With Love to help people truly in need. The non-profit organization will utilize these funds for the products and services that are needed most by people truly in need at the time of donation.

Each individual donor is able to track each of their donations. For most products and services, this means tracking each item from the time it is donated to the time each product or service is provided to a person truly in need. An information note is provided to each donor detailing non-confidential information about the actual person who benefited from their specific contribution.

"We believe the American people will welcome the opportunity to be able to decide exactly how their charitable donations are used and, at the same time, be able to track those donations," explains Mr. Richard McDonough, President and Chief Executive Officer of America Responds With Love. "In particular, we believe donors will appreciate the information note providing a detailed summary of an individual who directly benefited from the donor's specific gift."

Among the items that are most needed by people truly in need in the United States include:

Diapers
Footwear
Fruits
Gift Certificates for Meals
Lodging
Telephone Calling Cards
Vegetables

A full list of products and services can be reviewed at http://www.respondwithlove.org.
