Fantastical Book Follows Soldier Who Finds Inspiration in the Midst of War
Robert Guttersohn's Bartholemoo Chronicles: Volume One mixes the modern and the mythical, promising a refreshing new fantasy series born out of war
DETROIT, MI (PRWEB) December 28, 2006 -- A fantastical tale inspired by author Robert Guttersohn's fellow soldiers during his recent service in Iraq, Bartholemoo Chronicles: Volume One tells a story that plays both on current events and the clichés of myth and religion. In the fantasy tradition, Bartholemoo Chronicles: Volume One is full of colorful characters, perilous journeys, and a final confrontation between good and evil that determines the character of its hero.
The book describes Uta', a mythical land of spirits and wandering souls that is descending into bloodshed and corruption. The current ruler is overthrown by his protégé, who amasses an army to begin building Uta' into a dictatorial empire. But a talking goat, a man born of a virgin, and an unusual curse will prove to be the salvation of everyone. Funny and irreverent, this first volume of the Bartholemoo Chronicles promises a rewarding series to come.
