He brings to his teaching the added value of actual PGA Tour experience garnered on the U.S. PGA Tour and European PGA Tours in the 1980's and still plays competitively in select events on the Canadian and Spano's professional circuits.
His professional career highlights include a 25th place finish in the 1985 British Open, a 3rd place finish in the Australian PGA, and winner of the 2003 Northern California PGA Stroke and Match-Play championships, and the 2003 Hawaii State Open. He has played four times in the ATT Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. Some notable students who have enhanced their game with Kris Moe include actor Samuel L. Jackson, Tommy Smothers, numerous corporate CEOs and current Japanese PGA Tour star Shingo Katayama.

Kris Moe Golf Schools has been a premiere golf school in Northern California since 1995. It is centered at the Sonoma Golf Club (a semi-private course, and home to the Champion’s Tour Schwab Cup finale). The course was built 80 years ago by Willie Watson and Sam Whiting, architects who also gave the game such lasting golf courses as the Olympic Club, site of numerous US Open championships, and Harding Park, a premier public course in San Francisco that has hosted most recently the PGA Tour’s Tour Championship, won by Tiger Woods.
