Northern Arizona has representation to lodging industry board

Mormon Lake, AZ (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 – Debbie Johnson, President and CEO of the Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association announced the appointment of Scott Gold, General Manager of Mormon Lake Lodge, to their Board of Directors.

As general manager of Forever Resorts Mormon Lake Lodge, Gold has been instrumental in the Lodge’s growth and development, including acquisitions, renovations and the implementation of a state-of-the art mobile food service operation. The Mormon Lake Lodge Mobile Catering operation was designed to be used in remote locations to support offsite foodservice needs for emergency services, forest fighters, or large outdoor, public or private events. During the past two years the mobile catering operation has supported federal relief workers during national hurricane disasters in Florida, New Orleans and Mississippi.

This is an honor and an exciting opportunity to represent our industry and be further involved with fellow members of the Association
Gold, formerly served on the board of directors for the Arizona License Beverage Association, and serves as a volunteer for the local fire department, the Arizona Red Cross, and has held key operational positions in hotels in the United States and abroad during his 30 years of service to the hospitality industry.

“This is an honor and an exciting opportunity to represent our industry and be further involved with fellow members of the Association,” said Gold.

Since 1938 Arizona’s Hotel and Lodging Association has been the leading public policy advocate for the industry representing over 34,000 rooms statewide, and 400 plus members with a mission to unify, protect, enhance and promote Arizona’s resorts, hotels, B&B’s, and related industry partners.

The Association actively participates in public affairs linking members to vital industry resources to encourage high standards of business and ethics, improve employee-industry relations and benefits and represents its members to increase visitation to Arizona lodging establishments.
