Iowa Business Blog Workshop -- Put Life into Your Company's (Cob) Web Site

Get Started Blogging is a six-hour, hands-on business blogging workshop being held Fri., Feb. 17, 2006 in Clive, Iowa.

Clive, IA (PRWEB) February 9, 2006 -- Mike Sansone, an Iowa Business Blog consultant, is hosting a business blog workshop on Friday, February 17th from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott in Clive, Iowa. Cost is $88 a person with lunch provided. Seating is limited to 25 attendees. Each registrant will receive an advanced reading copy of "Career Intensity" by David Lorenzo (www.careerintensity.com/blog)

Get Started Blogging (www.letsbuildablog.com) is a six-hour workshop that shows businesses how to use blogging to build dynamic relationships with their customers, reach out to new customers, and - if done right - enhance their results with search engine results placement.

Blogs are changing the way we do business
"Blogs are changing the way we do business," says Sansone, a former AOL Community Program Manager, "Those businesses that have engaged in the conversation - either with their own blog or with comments on their customer's blog - have developed loyal enthusiasts for their brand. They've seen their business increase because of their proactive approach."

The morning session of the workshop will be a discussion on blog and feed basics, including a tour of some current blogs that are doing it right, and some that missing the mark. The afternoon session will see three blogs published from start to completion of three posts - also covering building links, pinging, and tagging.

"The days of a static home page - or cobweb site - are outdated. Who wants to see the same message day after day after day?" adds Sansone, owner of Copywriting Solutions (www.copywritingsolutions.com). "Ten years ago, companies debated whether they should have a web site - now it's the norm. The same will hold true for blog sites in the near future."

Sansone currently publishes two blogs, Copywriting Watch (www.copywritingwatch.com) and Iowa Blogs (www.iowablogs.net) and coaches clients, both businesses and individuals, on how to improve their blog sites.

"The Iowa Blogs project continues to amaze me. Every weekend, we update the site with new listings. We launched in early December with just over 100 blogs listed. We've seen the list grow to over 250 active blogs - including more than 20 business blogs."

To register for the workshop, visit the event site at www.letsbuildablog.com or call Mike Sansone at 515-778-8527.
