Snipe Networks and Kaspersky Lab Partner to Deliver Enhanced Malicious Incident Detection

Snipe’s NetGuard NBAD appliance integrates Kaspersky’s antivirus technology with Snipe Network’s advanced malicious behavior detection

San Jose, Calif. (PRWEB) February 13, 2006 -- Snipe Networks, a leading provider of user-centric behavioral anomaly detection and mitigation (NBAD) solutions and Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, today announced the licensing of Kaspersky Lab's antivirus technology for Snipe Network’s NetGuard NBAD appliance. Snipe's NetGuard customers will now have Kaspersky’s award-winning antivirus protection built directly into their appliances, eliminating the need to install additional boxes for scanning network traffic against malicious content. This new functionality will increase the breadth of NetGuard’s overall user-centric network anomaly behavior detection system.

"We are pleased to partner with Kaspersky Lab to provide our customers with best-of-breed virus protection technology," said Peter Yong, CEO and Founder of Snipe Networks. "Kaspersky enhances our NetGuard solution to precisely identify viruses or other malware in the form of email. This is a huge benefit to our customers who want greater insight and the ability to mitigate the malicious acts occurring on their network."

With Snipe NetGuard, CFOs and Compliance Officers are able to rely on an inside view of their user's behavior. The Snipe NetGuard with built-in antivirus detection from Kaspersky Lab provides IT staff deeper visibility into what precisely is happening on their networks.

"Snipe Networks' NBAD solution is a new and exciting network security offering and will greatly contribute to the existing roster of Kaspersky antivirus-enabled third party security solutions now available," said Kaspersky Lab Business Development Director Vitaly Bezrodnykh. "Snipe NetGuard will now offer an even more accurate and stronger defense against the rapidly increasing and changing spectrum of malicious content with the inclusion of Kaspersky Lab's precise malware protection and market leading response time to malware outbreaks."

Snipe NetGuard with the new antivirus technology from Kaspersky Lab is available today.
