Snipe NetGuard Provides Network Anomaly Detection at PenSafe

Snipe Network's new behavior deviation network appliance is purchased by PenSafe to enable their IT staff to detect unforeseen malicious network incidents.

TORONTO, Canada (PRWEB) February 16, 2006 -- Snipe Networks, a leading provider of user-centric behavioral anomaly detection and mitigation (NBAD) solutions announced today that PenSafe, a leader in the safety industry, has purchased Snipe NetGuard. The newest version of Snipe NetGuard provides PenSafe with both deeper visibility into network security incidents caused by malicious behavior as well as giving them an additional layer of internal network security protection.

"The Snipe NetGuard appliance makes me sleep better at night knowing that we have a very high level of visibility into what is going on in our network," said Paul Glasbergen, Director of Finance and IT at PenSafe, "NetGuard has been detecting previously unknown issues as well as detect all network misuse, intentional or not. This gives my IT staff the insight to keep our network running smoothly."

Snipe NetGuard's newest version, v2.2, gives network administrators even more visibility into network behavior patterns and clear indications of any malicious incidents, both in real-time and as a forensic audit trail. The latest version also increases the detection rate of network misuse plus adds detection of corporate security policy violations.

"With NetGuard's advanced behavior anomaly detection technology, PenSafe's network is now even more protected from unknown and unforeseen network incidents," said Peter Yong, CEO and Founder of Snipe Networks. "The new network visibility features in NetGuard allows their IT department to quickly take control of any network incidents that come up."
