Man Accused of Shutting Down Long Beach Airport Formally Charged

The man accused of shutting down Long Beach Ariport is formally charged in a Los Angeles court room today.

Los Angeles, Calif. (PRWEB) March 2, 2006 -- The man accused of shutting down Long Beach Airport on Monday, February 27th 2006 and causing a complete airport evacuation and shut down for several hours, was formally charged today in case No. BA 298824 at division 30 of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Corey Lamont Davis (35) of St. Paul Minnesota was arraigned today on one count each of transportation of cocaine for sale and possession of cocaine for sale. It was alleged Davis had more than one kilo of cocaine.

Although these are serious charges, there is much more to this story which will ultimately portray my client in a much more favorable light
Mr. Davis bolted from a security screening and ran across the tarmac Monday causing a 90 minute airport wide shut down.

He was eventually detained about a mile from the airport and charged with suspicion of possession of narcotics according to police.

Los Angeles Criminal Defense Lawyer Jeff Rubenstein pleads his client not guilty and denied all allegations “Although these are serious charges, there is much more to this story which will ultimately portray my client in a much more favorable light” Mr. Rubinstein declined further comment.

The case is next scheduled for hearing in Dept. 50 at the Clara Shortridge Foltz criminal justice center on March 15, 2006.
