thatstheSPIRIT.com Suggests The 'Tequila Mockingbird' Drink For Those Who Feel Roped in to Watch The Academy Awards

In the spirit of the Razzies, thatstheSPIRIT.com offers “Tequila Mockingbird” and “Morgan’s Fair Child” drink recipes

Toronto, ON (PRWEB) March 2, 2006 -- For the many who are looking forward to hosting an Oscar party, thatstheSPIRIT.com offers its annual guide to hosting an award winning party – but for those who dread the idea of three hours of “who are you wearing” and four hours of thank you speeches, we offer two unique and fun drink recipes – “The Tequila Mockingbird” and “Morgan’s Fair Child”.

“Tequila Mockingbird”
Mix these ingredients with ice in a shaker or blender.
-1 1/2 oz. tequila
-3/4 oz. white crème de menthe
-Juice of 1/2 lime
Strain and serve in a chilled cocktail glass

We recommend various Hollywood related drinks each year as part of our broader Academy Awards Party feature (http://www.thatsthespirit.com/en/entertaining/articles/oscar_party.asp), but none create as much reaction and positive feedback as these two recipes
“Morgan’s Fair Child”
Mix all ingredients (except whipped cream and cherry) in a blender until smooth.
-1/2 oz. amaretto (or almond flavored liqueur)
-1 oz. Bols Melon Liqueur
-1 tbsp. Whipped cream
-Maraschino cherry
-1 scoop vanilla ice cream
Pour into a chilled parfait or specialty glass. Top it with the whipped cream and a cherry to garnish.

“We recommend various Hollywood related drinks each year as part of our broader Academy Awards Party feature (http://www.thatsthespirit.com/en/entertaining/articles/oscar_party.asp), but none create as much reaction and positive feedback as these two recipes” said David Coulter, Head Bartender and party planner at thatstheSPIRIT.com; adding “I am not sure they would make it to my personal list of favorite drinks, but they sure are fun to order and talk about.”

These cleverly named drinks are real and not just made up for the Oscars. They are part of thatstheSPIRIT.com’s collection of over 3,000 drink recipes and party ideas.
