PDC Officially Discloses Ownership to Patents on Combo/Dual/Multiple Interface Memory Cards at CeBIT

After the official disclosure of the company’s IP at CeBit, PDC will be following up with actions on companies or channels making and/or selling similar products which fall into the company’s IP scope.

CeBIT, Hannover, Germany (PRWEB) March 9, 2006 -- Power Digital Card Co., Ltd (PDC) announces at CeBIT the disclosure of ownership to patents on combo, dual, or multiple interface products that features USB and Memory Card technology on one product. PDC classifies these products as multiple interface technology in which patents were filed in numerous countries many years ago. Currently, patents have been granted in 6 countries with others in patent pending stages on a global scale. At CeBIT, PDC is disclosing two (2) of its German Patents, DE 20304040U1 and DE 202005009641U1, to the industry as there are many similar products in the marketplace which fall into the scope of PDC’s IP.

PDC’s multiple interface IP is formulated into the PSd concept (Personal Storage Disc). PSd is a high speed product that combines both USB Flash Disks and Memory Cards into one single product to provide Simple, Convenient, and Easy to Use features. The products are built with injection process technology and are fortified with Duratect (www.duratect.com). PSd was created based on the company’s multiple interface IP and other patents which allow the product to be very durable.

After the official disclosure of the company’s IP at CeBit, PDC will be following up with actions on companies or channels making and/or selling similar products which fall into the company’s IP scope. Priority may be addressing the channel players first before the manufacturers. On the other hand, PDC will be looking for partners in each country and area to work closely to promote combo/dual/multiple interface PSd products. Market feedback on the demand for PSd is big, and the convenience factor of PSd should allow the product to gain on popularity soon.
