Transact provides advisers with access to the widest range of funds and investment opportunities on a single cost-efficient platform. We’re pleased to welcome the Pacific Continental funds to Transact as they provide advisers with access to alternative investments in the residential property and film finance markets.
The Pacific Continental funds are both absolute return investments designed to provide advisers with a real alternative to equity-based investment.

The Skylight Capital Build Up Fund invests in residential property, primarily in the north of England. It was launched in February 2004 and specialises in distressed property opportunities. It has delivered +21.64% capital growth in the 12 months to 31 December 2005 and +43.72% capital growth since launch (March 2004).

The Film Opportunities Fund invests in fixed return, gap finance for film. Launched in February 2005, the fund aims to deliver a fixed return from senior debt finance which is not dependant on the critical or commercial success of the feature film. It has delivered +16.81% capital growth in the 10 months since launch (February 2005) to 31 December 2005.

Peter Phelan, Head of Fund Management, Pacific Continental says: “Many advisers are seeking investment opportunities for their clients which can diversify their holdings away from the more traditional markets such as equities investment and bonds. Skylight gives investors the chance to benefit from investment in a well diversified residential property portfolio and the Film Opportunities Fund gives investors the opportunity for capital growth with the added excitement of an investment in feature films. Both have delivered strong capital growth, with relatively low volatility, to date and the outlook for the sectors remains positive.”

“We see a significant opportunity for Skylight to appeal to advisers whose clients wished to invest directly in residential property through SIPPs before the Chancellor’s U-turn.”

Malcolm Murray, Head of Sales and Marketing, Transact says:
“Transact provides advisers with access to the widest range of funds and investment opportunities on a single cost-efficient platform. We’re pleased to welcome the Pacific Continental funds to Transact as they provide advisers with access to alternative investments in the residential property and film finance markets.”
