The First Web-Sticker Album Launched

A sticker crazy college student from Britain created an Internet first this week by launching the first web-sticker album.

London, England (PRWEB) March 11, 2006 -- Entrepreneurial skills on the Internet can go a long way. Paul Dixon, a college student studying Mandarin, has held a long fascination with stickers. So much so that he created an Internet first this week by launching a ‘web sticker album’. The site was announced on March 9th, 2006. He hopes his site, webstickeralbum.com, will become a popular site for web surfers to check out, whilst also earning himself some money in the process.

Webstickeralbum.com was created because a sticker album gradually becomes a work of art for people to appreciate. “Sticker albums are fun things to look at, " says Dixon. “I am hoping web surfers will want to view my sticker album and will spread the message through word of mouth." Stickers appear to be stuck on to paper and look authentic.

An entrepreneurial endeavour brings with it a chance of failure. Dixon has high hopes for his site and believes that failure will not be the result. “I don’t see any reason why it should fail”, he comments. “I have high expectations for this website and I believe advertisers will want to add their stickers to my album and that web surfers will want to look at them.”

The idea is that advertisers create an eye catchy sticker that viewers will click on to be redirected to the site connected to that sticker. “Stickers are extremely persuasive and carry a strong message” says Dixon. Webstickeralbum.com charges advertisers for their sticker by the ‘pixel’, the advertising technique made famous by the success of Milliondollarhomepage.com.

“I just hope my album will be filled with fun and interesting stickers for people to look at...” Dixon pauses with a smile. “It will be fascinating to see the complete album and to see who has added their unique sticker.”
