Leading Disaster Recovery Provider Announces New Contact For Local, State and Federal Governments

AshBritt, Inc. has promoted disaster recovery industry veteran, Don Madio, to Vice President of client relations and the new primary contact for government officials and the news media.

Pompano Beach, FL (PRWEB) March 11, 2006 -- AshBritt, Inc. has promoted disaster recovery industry veteran, Don Madio, to Vice President of client relations and the new primary contact for government officials and the news media. Madio has been with AshBritt since 2002 and is ideally suited for this vital role due to his extensive experience with FEMA’s Public Assistance program and AshBritt field operations through 40+ federally declared disasters including recent hurricanes Wilma, Katrina, Charley, Jean and Frances. Madio will assist municipal, county and state officials in utilizing AshBritt’s Disaster Response Division. As a South Florida native, Madio is personally familiar with the havoc a disaster can reap on a community.

AshBritt made the announcement in anticipation of a high volume of inquiries due to warnings made yesterday by Max Mayfield, director of the National Hurricane Center, for residents of coastal communities to prepare now for the hurricane season that begins June 1. The next season may be worse than the past two, which resulted in an increase in the number and intensity of hurricanes that hit U.S. shores. The reasons: a historic cycle, the advent of La Nina – unusually cold Pacific Ocean temperatures that spawn more hurricanes in the Atlantic – and, possibly, global warming or other environmental causes. According to meteorologists, we will be in this active hurricane cycle for another 10 to 20 years.

AshBritt is an environmental services company delivering fully integrated solutions to clients at the Federal, State and Local government level, as well as a select list of private organizations. AshBritt has provided rapid response and recovery services for natural and man-made disasters throughout the Unites States and the Caribbean.
