Advanced Clinical Documentation Is Centerpiece Of ACOM EMR/Graston Technique® Partnership

New Partnership will support marketing of advanced SOAP notes and clinical reporting software to nationwide customer base of leading instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (ISTM)appliance provider.

ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (PRWEB) March 15, 2006 –- ACOM EMR, developer and marketer of the RAPID EMR clinical documentation and reporting solution, has formed a referral partnership with Graston Technique® to market the practice enhancement system to the 2,500-plus specialized health care providers in the Graston Technique Network, it was announced jointly by the two companies today.

Graston Technique is the leader the field of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. It serves a network of chiropractors, medical physicians, athletic trainers and therapists who have undergone the company’s intensive training program and who employ its implements to treat tissue associated with skeletal and muscular injuries. The Graston Technique is used in more than 400 outpatient facilities and industrial on-site treatment centers, as well as by more than 45 professional and amateur sports organizations.

RAPID EMR is a tablet computer-resident solution that enables health care providers to record SOAP notes using interactive on-screen diagrams and checklists and handwritten input to build patient files automatically. Reports are generated directly from the files, ad hoc or immediately on completion of treatment, eliminating the delay and expense of dictation- transcription reporting processes, accelerating cash flow and minimizing payment denials.

“We had no hesitation about entering into this program with ACOM EMR,” said Graston Technique President Michael I. Arnolt. “The solution was designed with extensive input from well-known chiropractors, among them doctors who also work extensively with the Graston Technique in various capacities, including our instructional program. We enthusiastically support ACOM EMR’s efforts to bring the advantages of steamlined, affordable, professional documentation and reporting to our network members.”

Under the arrangement with ACOM EMR, Graston Technique will support ACOM EMR’s marketing to the network via direct and indirect communications -- publicity, newsletters, training, and web and email promotions. It will refer member inquiries to ACOM EMR, with members receiving preferred pricing on their RAPID EMR purchases. Graston Technique will receive compensation on member sales.

“We maintain that if you make an adjustment without treating the soft tissue as well, you’re only doing half the job,” Arnolt said. “Similarly, if you have strong professional capabilities but neglect the business side, your practice is not complete. RAPID EMR can help provide the necessary balance, meanwhile saving time and money for our members.”

ACOM Vice President Gregory T. Church noted that the Graston Technique Network is widely respected for the quality of its products and educational programs and that network members consistently report outstanding success rates.

“We are extremely pleased to have Graston Technique’s support in bringing the practice-enhancing benefits of the RAPID EMR solution to its extensive network of practitioners,” Church said. “The participation of these health care providers in the Graston Technique Network indicates that they welcome advanced methodologies in their professional activities and we believe that the same thinking will prevail in bringing better methodologies into their practices.”
