Manchester, UK (PRWEB) March 17, 2006 -- Genemation Ltd., sector leading developer of 3D face synthesis and character modelling tools announced the April launch of GenHead v3.1 The beta will be demoed by the Company at the upcoming GDC expo (#booth 1645) in San Jose, California, March 22nd thru March 24th

SPECIAL OFFER: GDC attendees can pre-order GenHead v3.1 at #booth 1645 or via the website: www.genemation.com for $995.00 (€833.00) saving $500.00 (€418.00). This offer will run for four weeks following the show.

GenHead v3.1 is a standalone software tool for digital content artists that enables the quick and easy creation of 3D heads from photographs. Content created by GenHead v3.1 can be exported into industry-standard art/animation tools such as MayaTM 3dsMaxTM or SoftimageTM or saved as VRML files.

3D head creation can normally take even the most experienced digital artists many hours if not days to complete; GenHead v3.1 significantly reduces the time this process takes, down to less than 20 mins in most cases. More importantly, GenHead v3.1 is an easy tool to use, so studio heads, art directors, CTOs and artists at large can simplify the character modelling pipeline and utilise their art overhead more efficiently and productively, especially as the video games community moves into the prohibitively expensive Xbox 360TM and Playstation®3 development era.

“After working with a number of Companies and artists over the last 18 months, and implementing their feedback, we believe GenHead v3.1 delivers real benefits and value to development teams engaged in character modelling” said John Bickley, CEO of Genemation. “For teams needing to create 3D heads easily and quickly from photographs GenHead v3.1 enables art teams to do so with little fuss, within their desktop environment and without losing the ability to control and fine tune all the key parameters in their character modelling pipeline. GenHead v3.1’s unique 3D preview window updates 3D heads in real-time allowing users to see the effects of their fine-tuning of geometry and texture before saving our to their preferred art/animation package.”
