FantasyFootballStarters.com Challenges the “Experts” for Fun, Charity

Fantasy football experts will square off in an industry challenge to see which company has the most accurate NFL predictions in 2006, as part of a contest sponsored by FantasyFootballStarters.com.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) March 17, 2006 -- Fantasy football experts will square off in an industry challenge to see which company has the most accurate NFL predictions in 2006, as part of a contest sponsored by FantasyFootballStarters.com. Announced today at the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA) annual conference and tradeshow, the Fantasy Football Accuracy Challenge will determine who can predict the best possible fantasy football line-up each week during the 2006 NFL season. The winner will take home bragging rights and $1,000 for a favorite charity.

“Friendly competition and fun are what fantasy sports are all about,” said Jeff Coruccini, FSTA board member and CEO of Ready-Set-Go Fantasy Sports, LLC, the Phoenix-based parent company of FantasyFootballStarters.com. “We’re challenging the industry’s best minds to beat our Power Analyzer™ in a head-to-head competition, and I fully expect this to be an extraordinary contest. Best of all, the real winner will be a deserving charity.”

The CommishKit.com and FantasyDispute.com will provide scoring tracking and audit support to ensure the validity of contest entries. FantasyTrophy.com will provide trophies to the winners, who also will receive a check in their name payable to the charity of their choice, courtesy of FantasyFootballStarters.com:

  • First Place - $1,000
  • Second Place - $500
  • Third Place - $300

FantasyFootballStarters.com is inviting all FSTA members to participate in the Fantasy Football Accuracy Challenge until Sept. 3, 2006.

“If you’re involved in fantasy football, you’re competitive by nature. I think this challenge really captures that competitive spirit and is the reason why fantasy sports have become so popular,” said Greg Bebezas, founder and publisher of TheFantasyFootballTimes.com, one of the early contest entrants. “The Accuracy Challenge is a great way to create camaraderie within the industry, and most importantly, the end result is for a good cause. We’re proud to be a part of it.”

Last Year, RSGFS debuted the Fantasy Football Starters Power Analyzer product, a trio of Web-based tools that use predictive analysis and real-time player updates to provide personalized fantasy football advice to consumers at http://www.fantasyfootballstarters.com/. In a “blind” seven-week study, the Power Analyzer had a 71 percent winning percentage against other industry experts.

“This year, FantasyFootballStarters.com is enhancing our Power Analyzer tools, and we know our FSTA friends will relish the opportunity to prove that their analysis is the best available,” said Coruccini. “We look forward to a thrilling competition.”
