Helyxzion and Telomolecular Announce Strategic Partnership

Helyxzion and Telomolecular announce strategic partnership in the treatment of aging and age-related disease.

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- Telomolecular Corp., a nanotechnology company, that develops biopharmaceutical medicines designed to treat aging and age-related disease, and Helyxzion, a cutting-edge bioinformatics company, that facilitates the ability to read, rapidly model, and analyze DNA, today announced plans to strategically partner in the development of customizable gene therapies.

Helyxzion gene-sequencing technologies are capable of rapidly identifying new targets for pharmaceutical application. An important attribute of the company’s bioinformatics platform is in the identification of errors unique to an individual’s genome. By combining this capability with Telomolecular’s specialized nanotechnologies and custom protein design it may be possible to safely deliver exceptionally large-molecules across human cell membranes that “find and replace” undesirable genetic transformations known to contribute to cancer and human aging. This joint approach may innovate the field of gerontology and oncology.

According to Chief Executive Officer, Matthew A. Sarad, “Helyxzion’s technologies are able to organize and sequence an amazing amount of data in a substantially more rapid way than the best competitive tools in the industry. The partnership between Helyxzion and Telomolecular, beyond leading to new patent opportunities, may make emerging pharmaceutical products in the treatment of age-related disease and cancer safer, more effective, and more specific.”

About Telomolecular

Telomolecular develops nanotechnologies capable of delivering large-molecule proteins across human cell membranes. The corporation's primary focus is on the delivery of therapeutic agents that lengthen and repair chromosomal telomeres in living animals. Successful therapies based on this tactic may offset, and potentially reverse, many devastating age-related diseases and perhaps address the symptoms and signs recognized as human aging.

About Helyxzion

Helyxzion LLC is a genetic research and invention company founded in January 2002 by Charles Stevens for the purpose of bringing to market the Helyxzion high-throughput bioinformatics applications that facilitate rapid modeling and analysis of DNA. Helyxzion applications is expected to accelerate the pace and effectiveness of genetic research and development.
