Cardio Calipers Software from Iconico Released; the On-Screen Electrocardiogram (EKG, ECG) Measurement Software for Windows

Iconico, Inc. is happy to announce the release of our new medical image measurement software. The Cardio Calipers provide a fast and accurate way to measure electrocardiograms on a computer screen with pixel perfect accuracy. Built on the strong foundation of our general Screen Calipers the Cardio Calipers are the perfect solution for EKG measurement.

(PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- The Cardio Calipers from Iconico.com provide a fast and accurate way to measure electrocardiograms (EKG, ECG) on a computer screen with pixel perfect accuracy.

The Cardio Calipers allow measurement of any EKG, no matter what format the EKG image is in. Simply open up your EKG in any image viewer application and move the Cardio Calipers into place with the mouse.

The latest version of the Cardio Calipers runs on Windows 2000 and XP. A feature limited trial is available, allowing evaluation the software for as long as you need to.

Manipulating the application is simply accomplished through use of the mouse, and a variety of keyboard controls allow for extra fine alignment. The Calipers can be aligned to measure an entire EKG complex, QT interval, PR interval, and QRS duration.

Rotation:
360 degrees rotation has been included with the Calipers enabling them to be aligned to any EKG image.

Calibrated units:
The Cardio Calipers measures in millimeters, milliseconds, millivolts and can also display the heart rate in beats per minute. The Calipers can be calibrated to individual EKG's at the touch of a button, and using the 'Paper Options' screen non-standard EKGs can be configured for measurement.

Keyboard controls:
The Cardio Calipers has numerous keyboard controls. By pressing Ctrl, Shift and Alt while dragging with the mouse the Calipers will extend, rotate or snap to 90 degrees. To aid measurement the Caliper's mouse pointers will change making alignment intuitive and simple.

Interfacing with the Calipers:
The latest version of the Calipers provides the ability to be controlled from any external application through its COM interface. Web pages, Word and Excel documents can interface with the Calipers allowing easy data collection of measurements. Custom applications written in C++, Visual Basic and Delphi can also interface with the application; demonstration applications and help files are available as part of the Calipers SDK.
