Usher and Madonna: Soulmates?

Friendsation.com a web to mobile social network community recently polled over 25,000 members on which artist and song they preferred "to get busy with". Usher claimed the top spot as the "Pompitous of Love" with a whopping 42% of the vote for his song "Nice and Slow". Marvin Gaye came in a close second with 29% for "Sexual Healing".

(PRWEB) March 23, 2006 -- What do you call a party where the music is awful? Over.

True enough, music can make or break a party. A good DJ can crank up the crowd's energy or put people in a mood to relax and chat. But, a bad batch of tunes can drive your guests straight to the door.

when the music's over turn out the lights.
Jim Morrison famously sang "when the music's over turn out the lights." He must have liked to listen to himself.

What about when the opposite is true? Is there a specific style of music that can put us in the mood for romance? A romantic mood can be created by combining various components, but the key ones are music, setting and feeling. Music has the power to whisk us away like no other art form really can, and it is tremendously relaxing so what better way to create the right mood?

In fact, why is it that every romantic comedy features Peter Gabriel's "Salisbury Hill?" There is definiteley something about this song that creates an uplifting feeling.

Usher claimed the top spot as the "Pimp Daddy of Love" with a whopping 42% of the vote for his song "Nice and Slow". Marvin Gaye came in a close second with 29% for "Sexual Healing".

Rounding out the list were Aerosmith with 10% for the song "Crazy", Nine Inch Nails with 9% for "Closer", Madonna with 7% for "Erotica", and Bob Dylan with 3% for "Lay Lady Lay".

American Idol's William Hung was strangely absent from the list.
