Raggs Kids Club Band To Play The White House and European Concerts in April

With a new 65-episode TV series airing in Australia and the brand continuing to grow, Raggs' April concert schedule includes a third appearance at The White House Easter Egg Roll and 20 concerts in Iceland, Germany, Belgium and Netherlands for US military families. Raggs has recorded 100 songs and has played 1,500 concerts over the past four years to gain US and international momentum.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) March 29, 2006 -- The five colorful canine characters of The Raggs Kids Club Band will hit the road again in April with a third invitation to The White House Easter Egg Roll on April 17th and stops at US Military bases to play for families in Iceland, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany later in the month.

The band plans 30-minutes shows that feature eight of their original songs including “Wag & Wiggle,” “Raggs Rock,” Yo Yo Hey,” and the band’s new TV theme song also known as “Diddy Do Wah Day.” At The White House, the band will play three concerts on the South Lawn stage between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. An estimated 20,000 children and parents are expected to attend the annual festivities that began in 1878 under then President Hayes. It is a free event and tickets are on a first come first serve basis.

The overseas tours are wonderful experiences for our troupe
The European concerts will be Raggs’ second tour for Armed Forces Entertainment. In October, the band played 30 concerts for families of the US military on bases in Japan, Guam, S. Korean, Okinawa, Kwajalein and Hawaii. The April tour will include Schinnen (Army) Base in Netherlands, SHAPE (NATO) Base in Brussels, NAS Keflavik (Navy) Base in Iceland and four bases in Germany including Wiesbaden (Army), Sembach (Air Force), Hanau (Army) and Giessen (Army) Bases. The band departs on April 9th and returns on April 22, 2006.

“The overseas tours are wonderful experiences for our troupe,” Jason Priest, Raggs’ Tour Manager explained, “and the response has been very gratifying. The elementary classes from the Taegu American School in Taegu, South Korea sent thank you pictures and letters to the band via email after our visit.”

The Raggs Kids Club Band has played 1,500 concerts since 2002 and their song list now includes over 100 titles, most of which are original compositions. Last year, their original song, “Bow Wow Boogie,” was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. In addition, the band has won numerous industry awards including The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval, iParenting Media Awards, The Creative Child Award, and was nominated for two regional Emmy Awards for the “Pawsuuup” TV special in 2005.

Raggs also recently completed production of 65 half-hour episodes of their new TV series, titled “Raggs,” and began airing daily on Seven Network in Australia on January 2nd. Other countries will soon broadcast the show including Singapore and Ireland. A US broadcaster is expected to be announced in the coming months.
