Common Sense Systems Announces Support For New Laptops - New Adapter Technology Updates Precision Score

Common Sense Systems, Inc., developer of the Precision Score electronic scoring system for Taekwondo, today announced new support for laptops lacking a built-in parallel port.

Woodinville, WA (PRWEB) April 2, 2006 -- Common Sense Systems, Inc., developer of the Precision Score electronic scoring system for the martial arts, today announced new support for Precision Score use with laptops lacking a built-in parallel port.

Commenting on the news, John Sambrook, President of Common Sense Systems, Inc., said "For many years now, Precision Score has been the simple, economical solution for scoring Taekwondo. But we were limited by the fact that the parallel port on which our system depended was becoming less and less available on new laptops. This was a problem for our customers and a problem for us. Reengineering the system would have forced us to raise our prices significantly. That is not something we wanted to do to our customers.

Today, we are thrilled to announce a solution to this problem. Starting today, customers can order PCMCIA adapters that allow Precision Score to work perfectly on modern laptops that do not have a built-in parallel port. Unlike USB to Parallel adapter cables -- which do not transfer the signals Precision Score needs to work -- the new PCMCIA adapter works perfectly."

The new adapter plugs into the standard PCMCIA slot on all laptops and provides a parallel port connection for use by Precision Score. The adapter is small, easy to use and reliable. The adapter sells for $95.00 and is available as an add-on accessory to the base Precision Score system.

Since 2001, Precision Score has offered their professional electronic scoring systems to customers around the world. The PC-based software has allowed tournament directors to run a more efficient, exciting, and compact tournament, a welcomed alternative to paper scoring. "This is just the first step in a series of steps that will ensure that our customers will continue to benefit from the investments we have made in Precision Score. Customers can expect that when they invest in Precision Score they are getting excellent value." said Sambrook.
