Biblion Ltd. and Biblio.com Come Together for UK Strategy

Biblio.com, one of the world's largest marketplaces for used, rare, and out-of-print books, and Biblion Ltd., the foremost British based dealer marketplace announced today their mutual decision to work together to redevelop the current Biblion.com online strategy

Asheville, NC (PRWEB) April 7, 2006 -- Biblio.com, one of the world's largest marketplaces for used, rare, and out-of-print books, and Biblion Ltd., the foremost British based dealer marketplace announced today their mutual decision to work together to redevelop the current Biblion.com online strategy

The two companies are finalizing an agreement to strengthen online services currently provided on www.biblion.com and www.biblion.co.uk. Biblion Ltd. began offering its online retail services in 2000 and has provided more than 500 independent book dealers from the UK the opportunity to list more than 3 million books on the website. By providing a comprehensive new business and technical strategy for the Biblion service, Biblio.com will be extending its capabilities and future flexibility.

I feel that Biblio is the perfect company for us to move forward with. We share an ethos about bookselling that allows us to provide the best possible service to customers and dealers alike
“I feel that Biblio is the perfect company for us to move forward with. We share an ethos about bookselling that allows us to provide the best possible service to customers and dealers alike” said Leo Harrison, the founder of Biblion.

"We look forward to working with Biblion and hope to ensure continuing success for both companies’ brands in the UK market," said Brendan Sherar, President and CEO of Biblio.com, Inc. “Over the last few years we have been progressive in business solutions that enable mutual success and cooperation among independent business in the used book industry.”

Biblion.com
The biblion.com website was conceived as an extension of the shop of the same name in London’s Mayfair. Initially the website was conceived for the use of UK dealers only, but so many requests were made by overseas dealers, that the decision to ‘go international’ was made. With over 500 dealers and 3 million books at the last count, the biblion.com site has long been a stalwart of the online rare bookdealing community and is pressing forward with new developments to help it offer the same great service to more book hunters and sellers in the 21st century.

Biblio.com
Biblio.com Inc. is now one of the leading sources for used, rare, out-of-print, and hard-to-find books in the world. In the recent past Biblio.com has provided e-commerce solutions for the Independent Online Booksellers Association, as well as BiblioQuest International in Australia. Substantial growth in the last two years has allowed Biblio.com to go from a fledgling company to becoming the third largest site of its kind in the world. Biblio.com currently offers 35 million titles from 4900 independent booksellers in 36 countries through its online community of websites.
