Mystery Woman Behind E!’s The Soup “Clip of the Week” Revealed

Mary Foley, Author of “Bodacious! Woman", Had No Clue Her Story of Going to Work Without Her Pants Would Be Spoofed But Laughed Along With Host Joel McHale And Makes Entire Clip Available On The Web.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) April 24, 2006 -- It never occurred to Mary Foley when she taped several motivational bits for Living the Life (www.livingthelife.com) on ABC’s Family Channel that she would be spoofed by E’s Joel McHale on The Soup’s (www.eonline.com/On/TheSoup) “Clip of the Week”. But when it happened this week, she not only laughed, she arranged to have the entire two minute clip available on the web for viewers on her website www.YourBoMo2Go.com.

“I had no idea I was on The Soup until a friend called me. When I saw the show myself I couldn’t believe it,” says Foley. “They obviously got a kick out of what I call my Bodacious Moment or BoMo when I went to work one day at America Online without my pants. I had to laugh, too, about how they took 15 or so seconds from the clip and made me seem like I was glassy-eyed and surreal. Being spoofed like that could have been disheartening, but for me it was another BoMo. By putting myself on TV I risked a little ribbing, but it’s turned into a fabulous opportunity. And that’s what bodacious women do. They are willing to take a risk for a greater reward. My reward is more people knowing about my bodacious message so they can benefit.”

One of the 10 Best Outstanding Books of the Year in 2005
Foley is author of “Bodacious! Woman: Outrageously in Charge of Your Life and Lovin’ It!”, winner of an honorable mention as “One of the 10 Best Outstanding Books of the Year in 2005” by the Independent Publishers Association. She appeared as a guest on Living the Life, who also asked her to tape several clips to inspire viewers with her “Bodacious Moments.”

She says she learned to be bodacious – which she defines as the courage to be in charge of your life – during her decade long career at America Online where she started as an $8 an hour customer service rep and rose to the head of corporate training for 12,000.

“It was a hoot to have one of my clips from Living the Life on The Soup” continues Foley. “I also felt viewers should have the opportunity to know who this mystery woman was and to see the entire clip. When you see the whole thing I’m really not the space cadet from another planet who doesn’t experience real life as we know it. I’m a real person with the same challenges as everyone else. Sharing my bodacious message is my way of helping others deal with their difficulties and get the most out of life.”

Foley’s clip can be found online at her website www.YourBoMo2Go.com which offers free motivational audio e-mails for busy women on the go.
