Freebirds World Burrito Partners with F+M Records to Release Austin Music CD
(PRWEB) April 26, 2006 -- Freebirds World Burrito, Texas’ favorite fresh fast casual restaurant known for its Monster burrito, has partnered with record label F+M Records to provide a unique distribution method for promoting local music artists.
Austin, Texas, world renowned as the 'Live Music Capital of the World’, is home to thousands of musicians. Although Austin's civic leaders have made a serious commitment to put the city on the music map, many local musicians still struggle to make a name for themselves. The Freebirds / F+M partnership creates a unique vehicle for promoting these musicians. Freebirds purchases the CDs, putting funds directly into the artists’ pockets, and then make it available to Freebirds customers for free in their “Get Stuffed” frequent diner loyalty program.
“Austin musicians are some of our best customers and many are employees,” said Alan Hixon, COO of Freebirds World Burrito. “The relationship between Freebirds and rock ‘n roll is a hallmark of Freebirds identity, so we’re thrilled to team with F+M Records to bring this connection greater meaning – for the musicians and for our most frequent customers.”
Freebirds World Burrito and F+M Records are introducing their first singer/songwriter compilation recording, “Under the Radar, Vol. 1”, in Austin on Thursday, May 4 with a free concert from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the SoCo location at 515 South Congress.
“In F+M Records, we have created a revolutionary recording company that is an artists’ haven and refuge,” said Dony Wynn, co-owner of F+M Records. “We have married the concepts of traditional industry best practices with new technologies that are available today to eradicate the negative aspects of the music business.
