Hurricaneevac Automated Evacuation Notification System Goes Live May 15, 2006, Will Be Offered To FEMA

HurricaneEvac, an automated evacuation notification system designed to assist individuals and businesses during hurricane evacuations, announced that it will be operational and ready to take subscriptions May 15, 2006.

Fort Myers, Florida US (PRWEB) April 28, 2006 -- HurricaneEvac, a new automated evacuation notification system, will be going live on May 15, 2006, announced company president Tim Davis. Davis, an Internet professional and South Florida resident with a background in law enforcement, began developing the service in early 2005. The system will be offered to FEMA and emergency management to assist in search and rescue operations after hurricanes.

"After living through the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons and listening to news reports about people who were unaccounted for, I knew that there had to be better way for everyone to let others know that they were all right during and after a storm,” says Davis.

HurricaneEvac offers its subscribers an automated Web-based system that can be activated and updated from any phone via a toll-free number. Subscribers set up an account with contact information for family, friends and employers; if the subscriber chooses to evacuate, he or she simply calls the toll-free number, and contacts are automatically notified. HurricaneEvac also offers a product designed for businesses to help them keep track of their employees after a hurricane.

The $34.95 HurricaneEvac annual subscription includes unlimited access via the Web as well as use of an automated toll-free number. Individuals and businesses can enroll online anytime after May 15th with a major credit card.

Davis, who has been featured on local news, is already getting positive feedback from Floridians who plan to enroll right away. "I wanted to develop something that could help everyone during a time of great stress,” says Davis. A longtime Florida resident, he speaks from personal experience. “I am excited about finally going live, and I hope that HurricaneEvac will be able to help people during the fast-approaching 2006 hurricane season.”

About The Company
HurricaneEvac was founded by Tim Davis in January 2005 and is based in Fort Myers, Florida. Davis, an Internet professional and South Florida resident with a background in law enforcement, is committed to providing a badly-needed service to residents of hurricane-prone areas.
