Bodie Thoene Shares Her Thoughts on DaVinci Code

Bodie Thoene shares her thoughts on the novel "The DaVinci Code" and how they claim this new information will rock the foundations of the Church.

North Bend, Washington (PRWEB) April 27, 2006 -– Bodie Thoene shares her thoughts on the novel "The DaVinci Code" and how they claim this new information will rock the foundations of the Church.

Brock & Bodie Thoene have written over 45 works of historical fiction. These best sellers have sold more than 10 million copies and won eight ECPA Gold Medallion Awards. Bodie’s bylines have appeared in U.S. News and World Report, The American West and the Saturday Evening Post.

In her article “Notes in Mama’s Old Bible,” which appeared April 26, 2006, in Gods411.com, Bodie expresses her thoughts on the new controversial novel and movie The DaVinci Code. Bodie express “That through the novel the world is told that secret documents have finally come to light. The fictional account claims these documents are the subject of an age-old conspiracy to suppress them, but they finally reveal the real nature of Jesus of Nazareth and the origins of Christianity.”

Bodie goes on to express “That beneath the action, the suspense and the drama of a deeply evil novel and a movie which Satan cheers on is a very real attack on Christianity. As often happens, the latest ‘startling developments’ deny the divinity of Jesus.”

Bodie addresses the two assaults made by the novel on the Son of God. First being a straight-forward denial that He is God, and second that Jesus never claimed to be God. “The claim is that Jesus’ followers ‘cooked the books.’ They took a simple teacher and propelled him to stardom by doctoring the accounts.” “What blasphemy,” claims Bodie. Bodie combats this heresy with the words of Jesus Himself through the Bible.
