Celebrate Bay Area National Dance Week With Free Salsa Lessons from SalsaCrazy.com

Put on your dancing shoes, Bay Area residents, it's time to salsa! It's Bay Area National Dance Week, and to celebrate, DanceSF.com is offering a free salsa class Friday, April 28 at Pick Ballroom (380 18th Avenue) starting at 7 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) April 29, 2006 -- "We want to spread the love of salsa dancing to all Bay Area residents," said Evan Margolin, president of DanceSF (http://www.dancesf.com) and SalsaCrazy.com (http://www.salsacrazy.com) . "We believe in the positive benefits of dance for just about everyone, if they'd just take that first step."

The class is open to everyone, including beginners and those without partners. The event will teach participants how to dance club style salsa in just an hour.

DanceSF is also offering a free beginners' tango class May 3 at 8 p.m. at Fitness West, 720 Dubuque Avenue. This class will teach beginners the basics of Argentine tango and will include a spicy tango performance.

DanceSF is the premiere salsa dance academy in the Bay Area, teaching the hottest, sexiest dance around in a fun and social atmosphere. Hosting an event for Bay Area National Dance Week made perfect sense, Margolin said.

"DanceSF and SalsaCrazy's primary goal has always been to reach out to the community and get people involved in dance," he said. "We want everyone to love salsa as much as we do. We want to get people out dancing, and give back to the community. We want to reach out to people and teach the world to dance, just like BANDW does."

"Salsa is a an enormously fun and social dance, that’s easy to learn. Everybody has a bit of a salsa dancer inside them" Margolin said.

"It's great to see beginners get out on the dance floor and put their own spin on the basic moves," he said. "It's a lot of fun. It's an electric atmosphere that really can't be beat."

Now in its eighth year, Bay Area National Dance Week is a week-long festival of dance, featuring free classes, performances, open rehearsals and demonstrations of dance across the Bay Area. It coincides with National Dance Week, established in 1981 to increase awareness of dance and its contribution to our national culture.

Margolin shares his passion for salsa every day through the DanceSF studio, his Learn to Salsa DVDs (http://www.salsadancedvd.com) and SalsaCrazy.com, a comprehensive guide to salsa news and events in the Bay Area. DanceSF offers classes seven days a week. For more information call 1-877-507-3403 or visit http://www.DanceSF.com .
